I normally have to pay about $5-6 for a pint, and the dollar is about $.75 now... so I guess it's more fair to say I can 'barely' get a pint for what these guys pay for a pitcher.

We don't get the same 'spread' on beer prices most of the time - $5-6 for domestic, $6-7 for imports, and bar swill is rarely available (poor college-attending me... all I want is 2-for-1 bar swill at happy hour).

Once when a bar was closing permanently they had $6 pitchers of stella on the last night... and just gave the stuff away near closing time. But that's about it.
