Nothing happens When I select "Status" on my lan

Firstly, when windows load, the lan icon isn't shown in the taskbar and I have the option to have it shown there. I do have a network connection active

Then, if I select "Status" (right click on a LAN connection) nothing happens. I should get some window showing the IP, DNS, etc. On that window you had the option to "Repair" and view additional info. But like I said nothing happens if I double click or right click and select Status on any connection.



Using Win xp pro sp2. I have admin rights. Please Help
