Don't appear to have any buttons/controls

"The Northgate 3 in 1 USB Flash Drive Is an MP3 Player, Mobile Mail Reader, Removable Hard Drive. It is so versatile, you simply plug it into a USB port to read/ write data from/to your hard drive. It comes with a Li-ION battery that recharges while plugged into a USB Port. Its charming mini design will definitely catch consumers attention in today?s competitive market."

However...

"Read/ Write Speed of USB interface: Read 800KB / Write 600KB - Uses a 2.5 mm earphone"

IS it a portable MP3 player or not?

I think I'm going to hold off on the basis that this is USB 1.1 and not 2.0....

/cheer at resisting the temptation!!

I own that model, under the trade name Magic Star. Got off Ebay $47 shipped, the 128mb flavor. Ok sound, I like the included rechargeable l-ion battery. Very decent performance even with USB V. 1.1

Just got mine, well worth the money, sounds great, good as my sony MP3 player that isnt even a flash drive. The email program on it works no problem also. I was suprised the included earbud headphones have such decent quality.

It is USB 1.1 Plugged it in though, and it does seem to transfer faster than my older flash drives i had from a year ago. It will transfer about a meg per second no problem.

Just drag and drop mp3's, plays them in the order you put them on. Little control wheel on the top that works, volume, track and pause play, funny at first all on one wheel. After 5 minutes your a pro with it though.

Im happy with mine. I've left it playing full volume for about 6 hours now since i got it. It will fit in the palm of your hand. You'll be surprised just how big the battery is for such a little device.
