Notebook Upgrades

I have a HP L2000 notebook, and I want to upgrade some. I have 1GB of RAM (2x512, one came with it and the other I stuck in for $30), and a 60GB 5400RPM HDD. Which should I upgrade? 2GB of RAM would be nice, but the 7200RPM HDD takes about a minute off battery power and is a couple degrees warmer. I have Media Center 2005. Suggestions?

Usually for typing, but now I'm usin it more for gaming, movie-making, and stuff like that. Memory intensive is a yeah, but also a lot of HDD accessing.....

I would upgrade your processor. 1.6 ghz is a bit on the slow side; 1.8 or 2 ghz would serve you much better than another gig of ram. A 7200rpm hard drive is also nice, but a better processor would likely show a larger increase in speed.
Another thing that might be holding you back is your video card. However, HP/Compaq laptops generally do not have upgradeable video cards, so you're kinda stuck there.
If I were you, I would save up, and buy a barebones laptop with a better video card.

I just bought this one, so I don't really wanna sell it. Plus, it's a sweet lappy. I'm gettin a MT Turion. Either a 1.8GHz or 2.0GHz. The L2000 has a ATI XPress 200M in it, and it's great for gaming.
