Just curious. What kind of setup will i need to play this on a notebook?

Will P-M 1.5Ghz Centrino, 512mb ram, 40GB HDD cut it?

What video on that laptop? If it's Intel anything, good luck.

judging from leaked benchies of the 6800GT and 9800XT doing a Doom 3 benchmark, i'd say you need at least a radeon 9600 to play doom 3 at above 800x600 and low detail. If you're absolutely gearing up for that game, best mobile video on the market right now is radeon 9700. And I'd suggest upgrading to 1GIG of ram. That should cut it. Don't expect to play it at 1024x768 and high detail tho.

I think the emachine m6809 is enough to run doom3.

I've played the leaked alpha version (for a couple of mins) on a P4 1.4GHz, 128MB RDRAM, Radeon 9500PRO 128MB with minimal fps.
It will run on the m6809 but not with high details. I think.

LOL i'm hoping one of them will run on my Powerbook (if we ever get the games!). I'd say a 9700 or maybe 9600 is your only sure bet.... and you'll probably still have to run it at 800x600...
