Notebook stand/holder?

Instead of buying an expensive auto GPS unit I want to use my notebook and Microsoft MapPoint 2006 which I already own. I also already have a USB GPS receiver, now I just need a way to mount my notebook in my Explorer.

This looks like an option perhaps.

Any recommendations? Any tips from people who already have a setup in place?

Pics would be great if you have them.

Thanks!

I have streets and trips with the USB GPS so I made a small ramp/stand out of wood and covered it with that felt material that matches my interior so I can set my laptop on my passenger seat. Kinda tacky but doesn't look too bad, much cheaper and easier than an installing an actual mount. Just an idea.

There is non skid type material that you can place on your dash and put the laptop there, then tether the laptop to make sure it doesn't come loose if you turn/brake really hard. Personally I would just keep it on the seat like the above poster

My father has one. I can't remember the brand exactly but it's some type of large animal. Rhino, Mammoth, or Elephant all seem probable. It mounts to the passenger side seat bolt. The tray that holds the laptop is also removable which makes it much less obtrusive when you don't need it.
