Notebook + Speakers...

I have an Acer TM4652LMI laptop and I want to use the Logitech x-620 with it. But my laptop only has 2 sound plugs (green and pink) and i need a 3rd black one. What do I need to make this speaker work with my laptop?

I assume this is a surround sound system...

It's very likely you will need a sound card, like an Audigy 2, sine the audio output on your notebook is only designed for two speakers, and the pink one is likely a microphone.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong though...

pink = input, green is stereo output. you either need to get a pcmcia or usb sound card to use them in surround. otherwise you can get or make some stereo to stereo splitters and plug all of it in, you will not have surround but will have sound from all speakers.

How is the sound from those external usb sound cards? Is it on par with the regular internal sound cards or at least close?
