Notebook recommendations

Hi you all!

My dad's searching for a new notebook, something within the $999-$1,499 range, with less than 4lb. I began to search for it today, and found Fujitsu's notebooks really interesting, mainly the P2000. What do you make of it? What other brands and models should I look for?

pillage, for some strange reason the thing went nutso when I was writing the message and posted twice when I didn't even finish up typing. Go figure...
