I just started to work. If I save enough money I should have 3000 bucks by march. I was thinking of getting a computer then. I was looking at the nforce chipset and thats perfect for a laptop. I basicly asking if there will be a laptop will a geforce 2go or nforce chipset will a tututium P3 or an Athlon 4 by then?

I forgot to mention I'm using this computer for school and a little gaming on the side I'm not looking for the most frame rate but enough to play. And the only thing holding me back from the dell inspron 8000 is the 7 pound weight. I'm looking for something in between 4 to 5 1/200 pounds.

I agree...I'm also of the school of thought on this one where 2 computers is always better than one...hehe.

You could get a sweet desktop for 1500-1700 and then a nice lappy for 1500 also.

yes, you could do a very good desktop (think top of the line athlon) for about 1400-1500, and get a very good laptop for 1500.

(woohoo!! 200th post!)

You should just learn how to build yourself a nice desktop and forget the laptop. You don't get what you pay for. You could build a top of the line desktop for under $1500. Save the other $1500 for a social life:)
