Notebook memory question

I have a Dell inspiron 8200 with 2 128 pc2100 200 pin sodimm. Newegg has a good deal on pc 2700 memory. Would it work out ok if I swap out a 128 and add in a 512 pc2700? thank you
 
Dells are notorious for being very picky about almost every bit of hardware in their machines.

Try this:
Go to Crucial.com-
Go through their 'find memory for your computer'
See if there are any 512MB PC2700's in their listings.
If not, then try ringing DELL support and see if they say you can use it.
