i have a Gateway MX8711 that was purchased from Circuit City preloaded with Windows vista. Every so often out of the blue, it will automatically direct me to Google images and search for the webpage i was just on. Could i have a virus or is it something else that is doing this?
 
I would go through and uninstall any preloaded software that you specifically don't need or want. i imagine its some wierd google desktop thing that is tied to a hotkey. Doesn't sound like a virus. Feel free to run a virus scan though. Can't hurt.
