Notebook hard drives

I don't know that they perform much different from each other. I just rely on manufacturer's specs. I have had good luch with IBM and Toshiba drives. Hitachi drives have been noisy, hot, and somewhat unreliable. I don't have too much experience with Fujitsu drives.
 
Mainly they are all about the same, though remember that the vast majority of laptop drives are only 4200 RPM. If you absolutely need performance from your laptop drive, look at IBM's 32 GB Travelstar drive as this drive spins at 5400 RPM, and let me tell you the difference is not hard to see.
