Notebook Deals?

I'm looking for a decent deal on a notebook that's around $1000. There are a couple of things I would like out of it (AMD 64 chip and ATI 9600+) but I know that's tough to get so something comprable would do. I would prefer not to buy reconditioned. Please help me find some good deals on something like this. A few selections would be sweet if possible. Thanks.

I've surfed everywhere and I like the HP z5000 series but that Geforce 4 440 is holding me back. emachines make some decent systems but they seem to be MIA asside from a recond tigerdirect system... no go here.
 
Hi, saw your post about the laptop. I have a dell inspiron 600m for sale brand new in box for $1000, it has 512 memory, 60 gig hard drive, wireless, ect. I believe the video is a radeon 9000. Msg me if interested, and I will provide full details. Also I have a dell inspiron 9100 that is like-new that I can sell, it has a p4 3 ghz, radeon 9700pro, 60 gig, wireless, ect... let me know if interested in either.
 
whoa that was weird, I had the I WANNA thread up... whooops, sorry about that. Thanks for all the quick replies however. I'll send you a msg aharsh later today and Franky, I missed that Gateway notebook so I'll check that out. I know they had some "free gift" and the Epson printer deal also... that could turn out to be hot depending on the specs.... time to surf.

EDIT - Just found that Gateway... think it's the 7410GX, looks like what I'm looking for. If you have anymore information on the deal like a link to the ad or something I would like to see it if you wouldn't mind.... I'm still diggin 🙂
