Ok I've looked up on Google and I've heard that you should discharge and charge to maintain a good battery life.

1. Do they mean COMPLETELY discharge to like 0% that the laptop is forced to terminate (like *poof*, not through the windows hibernation/shut down thingy) because of no electricity? I have mine set so that it hibernates when the battery reaches to 1%, and then I plug it in to recharge it. Is that a good idea? Or should I turn off the auto-hibernation and let it go *poof* at 0% and THEN charge it? Also, isnt it bad to let the laptop shut down like that?

2. Is it ok to charge the laptop while using it at the same time?

TIA

1. it's best to keep doing a power cycle when you first get....yes that means you make the battery hit 0%. 1% is also fine, however. Doing this all the time will kill your battery, though.

2. It does not matter.
