Notebook battery question

So the standard battery size for my laptop is 4400 MAH (or 4.4 depending on how its listed). A new battery on eBay matches these 4.4/4400 numbers, but then I see other batteries on eBay that are extended life - 6.6/6600 for instance, which adds 50% capacity.

The pictures make it seem like these batteries are bigger. I guess that means it will make my laptop heavier, and also makes the battery stick out the back more? Am I wrong, or are these higher capacity batteries that increase battery life by 50% also 50% bigger?

Is there a way to buy a higher capacity battery that isn't any different in size?

Thanks.

Higher capacity batteries are bigger. I have Lenovo T60 and 2 batteries - one 6 cell and one 9 cell. The 9 cell sticks out about 3/4 inch in back. Batteries are extremely proprietary in terms of form and fit. Under current Li-Ion technology, more capacity equals more cells equals larger size.
