Note to self...

ghetto rigging is always the best. For example, ever lose your rear driveshaft in the middle of nowhere in a Jeep? take a 2 liter and strap it to the output of the transfer case. Boom, instant fluid catcher. 😛

But I have to say, all the replies I've read for far are of the "helpful and nice" variety.

I shudder to think what the outcome would've been if such a person were to post on ATOT . . .. *shudder*

*gets up, walks over to pegboard with "Human Stupidity" label, bends way down, takes peg out and puts it in one notch lower*

He owns a (at least) $40,000+ car and he's too cheap to get it fixed correctly?! That's a) stupid because you shouldn't half-ass something like that on such a valuable car and b) CHEAP!

The phrase "More money than brains" comes to mind.

Well duh. Any true BMW enthusiast knows what kind of crowd the new cars generate. Anyone serious about BMWs stays the heck away from the new generation of cars, so the hubbub over them will die down.

I pimp my first generation 3 series proudly. Back when M was only on the friggen 1 series. Not one of those stinkin hatchback Bangled things either!!!

Man that sock pick in that thread at post #18 is HILARIOUS!

Koing

I like the later threads about how he doesn't have much money, but mommy has this card and daddy lets him use this card.

They should take the sock out and make him eat it.

Can anyone explain to me where the vaccuum in the engine block comes from?

There is no vaccuum in there! Unless air is magically expelled through the breather via a one-way valve that only allows air to escape, it's not a compressor.

Plus, the sock only went into the head where it could have gotten ground up by the cams, but I doubt that the fibers will kill the engine, since an engine can take off a finger and keep running without a hiccup.

The guy says he bought the m3 outright with cash, lives in an expensive area, but can't bring his m3 into a proper shop?
 right..
