Note to self.

Why didn't you just use the coffee maker to make hot water, and then pour the hot chocolate mix into a mug and pour the hot water on top of it??

one cup at a time my man, besides you have to have equal chocolate to water distribution, and what about the marshmallows !!!

I'm at work and we have the big coffee makers that always have hot water ready so I could have, but I wanted a lot of hot chocolate and I wanted to see if it'd work.

Also note that when making instant coffee do not use the same instructions as instant hot chocolate.

Someone make coffee with 4 tablespoons of instant coffee, when 1 is all you use.

make coffee with the maker and add it to the hot choclate powder it's really good. 🙂

That actually sounds like a good idea. Might have to try that.

i tried something like that once, not good. the chocolate powder is too fine to go through the coffee filter and it flooded 😱

Yup, that's exactly what happened. Made a nice little(read: big) mess to clean up.

Hint: the coffee maker at work will work just fine...
But, POUR THE HOT CHOCOLATE MIX INTO THE COFFEE POT! not the filter.

thanks for doing the research... I've actually always wondered how that would work out.

I've also wondered what it would taste like if I substituted coffee or hot chocolate for water when making rice.
