Back in the mid-80's, I was on a job in Pocatello Idaho. One of the foremen was from Arkansas and used UPS for his pot shipments. Can you imagine his surprise when the cops showed up? UPS often has drug-sniffing dogs in their facilities because it's well known that they're supposed to be a safer method of transport.
He was charged by the State of Idaho with some kind of drug transportation conspiracy, but by the feds with drug laws, interstate flight to avoid prosecution, (warrant in ark.) as well as a myriad of other federal charges.
I seriously doubt UPS has any drug sniffing dogs in their facilities. There's no way that they are going to stop the miles of conveyor because the dog points its nose at a box.
Not to mention that there are probably almost literally eleventy billion boxes going through UPS hubs at any one moment. I bet even getting the dogs close enough to the boxes would be hard.
Yeah, there's no way. They rely on pure luck and/or idiots to catch people.. Wrong address, box breaking open, etc.
I will admit that I've shipped "questionable" things via UPS. That's all I'll say.
