This site, which has been getting a lot of mentions here lately as a source for cheap Panaflos.... just be advised, i got a call from them this morning, they're out of stock right now, ETA for restock is 3+ weeks... they'll put your order "on hold" while waiting for restock. So if you don't mind them holding your cash for a bit, you can still in on this great price, you just gotta be patient....

Dont forget about the $15 minimum purchase too :) MPJA is a great retailer, if you buy a lot of stuff at once, like switches and LEDs, etc...

For a lot of folks, that's not going to be an issue, and will likely order 5 like i did.... 4 of 'em for my Antec SX-830 to have Panaflow L1A's all around, and another for my Alpha 8045, which put me over $14 anyway... i added on a 99 cent USB cable, and had the minimum order covered :)

Who said anything about 120mm?

I stand corrected. I thought this was for 120mm fans, but this is indeed 80mm @ $2.95. Need to brush up on my imperial <-> metric conversions!

Subject says nothing about 120mm, link is to a 80mm fan.

I was never able to find 120mm panafloes at MPJA but bgmicro has the high speed version for $5 or $6 if memory serves correctly.

Are the L1A's from mpja, bgmicro, and allelectronics new? What kind of tail to they have on the wires or are they bare?

They are brand new fans, with a 2-pin tail connector. I ordered a 1/2 dozen of them, and ordered some 3 & 4 pin tails from PCmods.com for .99 each.

I've already gone through the few that I had and I now have an almost whisper quiet system. :D

I got LIA from mpja and they had the 2 pin tails. I bought 2-3 pin connectors from SVP or something, you can get a bulk rate, like $2.70 for 3 and free shipping at the time, I don't know now, either way I think they ended up being cheaper than PCMods. Of course I can't remember their website but someone who buys this stuff more often than once a year may be more help.

If you use this 2-3 pin adapter, can you monitor the rpm?
Or you need 3 wires w/3pins?

I bought the fans from MPJA and the tails from pcmods.com.

As for RPM monitoring, the Panaflo's do not support the feature as they don't have the circuitry built into them.

Check it out here!!!

All you have to do is cut off the two tabs on the two pin connector and plug it in. I wish I would have seen this earlier. I just paid $1 each plus huge shipping! Oh well!

I hate to keep this out of date thread going, but... I prefer to only trim one tab off the 2 pin connector. That way you always know the correct orientation of the connector.
This thread must die!
