not usually a tattle-tale about this sort of thing, but...

LE: they probably don't reply to you because they're sick of you always poking your nose in their business and trying to act like a moderator. Like the little brother who always wants to play with his big brother and his friends.

Like I said before, I personally have no problem with most of the stuff that isn't allowed on the forums. I prefer when people are allowed to swear and be offensive, up to a point (certain types of links being the limit). I bring this sort of thing up just because I hate the inconsistency, if they're going to say something isn't allowed, it needs to not be allowed for anyone for any reason. Yes it limits what can be said, but so does the idea of banned words and topics in the first place.

I'm not trying to act like a moderator, I'm trying to get the moderators to act like objective moderators so that I personally can get a better experience on the site. That's why this forum exists. I don't like being called names for voicing my opinion that happens to not be the same as everyone else's.

As to the mods or staff not replying, again, they're not objective if they're not answering my legitimate questions just because they don't like me. As I said before (either here or elsewhere), answer the question the first time and I won't keep asking. Address an issue the first time, and I won't need to bring it up again.

The sheer fact that the mods are human makes the quest for pure objectivity to be impossible. They're naturally going to be subjective with different things and, while they may likely be able to hone their practices so that things appear nearly fair across the board, it's just not gonna happen. For the most part, it's just not worth getting worked up about. In my opinion, if you have a problem with the way you've been treated, or even how you interpret how someone else was treated, your best options are a) send a clear email to the mods and/or b) Send a PM to Anandtech Moderator. Try not to take an attitude of deservitude as best you can. You're just trying to help and you want them to know that.
