this has always puzzled me... who is the fat lady? does she sing well? hell, she probably does if everybody wants to hear her sing all the time and then smoke cigars...

the shroud is but partially lifted... who is the fat lady? does she mind being referred to as "the fat lady"? how fat a lady is she? has the fat lady every considered going on a diet and becoming *gasps* the thin lady? how many more times will i repeat the words "fat lady"?

so many questions plaguing my fragile little mind...

in all seriousness, it's not referring to any particular person.. it's just an expression generalizing that usually a fat lady finishes off the opera in closing.. >>



this is not convinving me... i know there is a fat lady out there ... trying to conceal herself, however an arduous task it might be, if she really is as fat as can be infered from the word "fat"
