here are the system specs:

Athlon 5000+ BE @ 3.2 9 (water cooled)
BFG 590 SLI MB
4GB OCZ DDR2
Razer Barracuda AC-1
MSI 8800GT w/Zalman VF-1000 cooler
250GB Seagate
Soyo 20" widescreen LCD
Antec 900

I just got the monitor and I am wondering if I should get another 8800GT and go SLI (I can get another MSI on the FS/FT forum for under to 120 shipped) or if I should wait it out and see what comes up later this year.

I am gaming at 1680x1050.

You could sell your 8800GT and then use that money + probably an extra $50 and get a 4850. Are you a hardcore gamer?

Even though it's an upgrade, he won't notice much difference going from an 8800gt to a 4850, as many people that have made the switch have stated.

If I were you I would try to get either a 4870, or the improved gtx260 coming soon (September I think?). Those cards will be perfect for that resolution.
