I received 2 superpads today. Went to Kmart armed with my support documents and voila! They did the exchange. I was in and out under 10 minutes. Plus, they credited my shipping and I got $2.96 BACK from Kmart.
Here's the breakdown of what I brought to the clerk:
Print out of Superpad controller showing 19.96 price (item no. 863645)
Print out of Nintendo brand controller showing 19.96 prince (item no. 971469)
Print out of Order Details from bluelight.com, which showed a purchase of 2 of item no. 971469 and the USPS tracking number
Box it came in (for matching the USPS number)
Packing Slip, showing an entirely different item no, but which matched the item number sticker attached to the 2 Superpads I received=
2 Superpads with an item no. matching the packing slip
Since the packing slip matches what was shipped, and the order details from the web shows a different item, there wasn't any way the clerk could argue with me (and they didn't).
The clerk gave me a refund of my purchase price plus shipping (I had used a 10% on my original order) and charged me 19.96 for each Nintendo brand controller. I walked out the door $2.96 richer with 2 Nintendo Gamecube controllers.
ok perhaps I went overboard. Also, the two controllers I had ordered from bluelight.com were the indigo variety; I was able to exchange my superpads for the clear / indigo ones! Overall, I'd say this deal worked out even better since they sent me the wrong product. Thanks Kmart!
