Looks like staples has more of these than they can get rid of heh.
New rebate valid from 3/3 for $70 off the $99 scanner, so use your favorite $20 coupon and get it for $10. Pricematch with AMEX and get some cash back, use my theory for pricematching:
Add scanner, and $20 bux worth of stuff, use coupon -- pay $100. Send in rebate, and sendin pricematch ($55 on some sites, you look for it) . You get $70+$44 back ~~ $115 back, and you get paid $15 to get a scanner and 20 bux worth of stuff.
 
btw topic is "not so hot anymore" cuz i'd imagine all of you already got 2 if not 3 of these, i know i had 3 and sold 2 hehe.

Dang.... I found it. I guess that big link for Staples Rebate Center somehow eluded me.
 
Does this work with Windows XP? If so, I hope it works with real drivers, not the generic cr@p XP drivers. It appears my Umax 2010U is never going to be fully supported in XP except for the junk drivers included with XP. These drivers don't power down the lamp and it lacks a crucial "descreen" function. They are junk.
 
Thanks, just ordered one. This was what I was looking for. Didn't catch this one the first time around. $15 for a scanner fits the budget just fine!!

Ok guys, i can CONFIRM that this scanner works under:
98, 98SE, ME, 2000, and XP. However, the ones they ship from warehouse sometimes come without the "xp" sticker, and those don't have the new version of the software...you can bitch at visiontek and try and get the CD, or you can go and buy this thing in the retail store with a printed out coupon, or try to get them to use a coupon #...or you can get a copy of the software cd from someone...

Oh and those of you who wanted a coupon #, i just emailed you a $15 off $100 coupon, couldnt find my $20..
Edit: never mind found my $20 too, you now have 2 emails 🙂

BTW..this is the first hot deal i posted , but definitely not the first i've jumped on...enjoy
 

Ok at this price who cares, but can someone who is "in" to scanning tell me how this scanner compares to the epsons (1250, 1650, 2450) for scanning photographs??????

I want to scan the family photos before we move (again) and don't want to waste my time on slow low quality scans.
