Then this will blow your mind:
Wikileaks lets you submit something...
ANONYMOUSLY
*gasp*
You really don't see the difference? The point of wikileaks isn't to divulge every single shred of information, including personal information. It has to do with divulging the actions of entities, such as governments, that they deem worthy of public knowledge.
You think the identity of some script kiddie really fits that bill?
Wikileaks promotes leaking information anonymously because they believe that certain information should be public knowledge. I don't believe that their original ideals included mass attacks on computing systems anonymously, though it doesn't seem like they're doing anything to stop it now.
And yes, I do believe that sharing the names of the attackers would fall under the information that wikileaks says is its mission to share. The names of thousands of people who attack businesses anonymously would fall under the "ethical" part of their mission statement.
Anyways, if wikileaks was serious rather than a cry for attention they would be calling off the dogs and wouldn't be threatening to release a "doomsday" file if Assange doesn't get his way. Assange has turned their original arguement of free speech into a circus and in the long run his actions will do far more to limit free speech than help it.
