I can't believe the Pre has no video camera. For me that's a deal breaker for sure... So what's next? IPhone 2? Storm 2? I need to upgrade within the next 3months or so.
 
Why do you need a video camera??? What quality do you need it? If you really need something that takes good video, you shouldn't even be looking at a phone.

To the OP, Apple announced the 3GS today that is adding video capture. Comes out next week.

Yup, so you can get the older 3G iphone and it'll have video capture. OR you can get the brand new iphone if you want to try finding that in stock over the next couple months.

If I remember correctly, video capture is only on the 3GS, it is not a part of the 3.0 update to original and 3G iphones.

Same deal with the voice control, that's only on the 3GS too (this one is ridiculous, IMO).

The 3GS will be released June 19th, not July. And in western Europe it's looking like June 26th. However, since they are likely to be sold out for a while, July 19th is probably more accurate.

July 19 was an old date somebody was just speculating. It's now officially June 19 and the 3.0 update 2 days before that IIRC
 
July is looking like a pretty good bet for Sprint but no solid date as of yet. I am in about the same boat, no Pre for me either but the TP2 is looking a little large for my taste. I like the size of my diamond and went with it over the TP due to the size. From what I gather the TP2 is even larger. It looks like I may be hanging on to my Diamond for longer than I really want as I am not leaving Sprint and there really isn't anything else on the horizon.

I would be shocked. If it was coming out that soon I would think we would have heard more about it. If nothing else as an alternative to the Pre due to the shortages, hell they'll make more money off of it to boot.

Yeah I spoke with ATT yesterday I guess you guys are right about June 19 launch and I didnt read it right so they told me I can exchange for 3GS next week because I bought 3G last week anyway.

Does the Touch Pro 2 also support FM radio or just the Touch Diamond 2? Also does Touch Diamond 2 support HD radio? And any idea of US release date of Touch Diamond 2?
