ReplayTV will soon complete the sale of all remaining 5500 Series DVR products, completing the first phase of the transformation of the brand from a hardware manufacturer to a leading provider of advanced DVR software and services to consumers of entertainment PCs. Today?s announcement has no impact on existing ReplayTV DVR customers who will continue to be fully supported with EPG service for their ReplayTV DVR products.

Even if ReplayTV disappears altogether, the opensource community's got you covered. There are software out there that can feed custom guide information to your ReplayTV. It emulates the ReplayTV server and your ReplayTV doesn't know the difference. This of course only works after you've activated your ReplayTV.

I know that it's been hacked, but I thought the people that did it aren't giving it out since they don't want to pinch on ReplayTV. Maybe they will if replay fully goes under.
