For all those sick and tired of reading about Cyberwings "Communications" in the AT HOT DEALS forum:

UPDATE
======
1. Cyberwings Hosting (Maine) is DOWN (no suprise there) since July 3.
2. Cwstatus, the off-site status page is DOWN
3. Their RackShack servers in Houston are DOWN (since this morning)
4. and their IRC "support" channel is now DOWN as of around 12:00 PST.

Could this be the end of Cyberwings? 😱

I believe CWSTATUS.COM is located on one of the Rackshack servers. So that explains why that page is down
 
Hehe, this was so obviously going to happen eventually. Anybody who couldn't see it coming deserves to get screwed. Luckily I pulled all my stuff off CW over the 4th of July weekend when all the Maine servers went down and that fat jerk Shawn was AWOL. At least I only lost 8 bucks.

I wonder where all the CyberWings apologists are now?

Good point. My bad. Technically, however, the other thread is discussing the "2-3 days downtime" --- This one is talking about perminent downtime.

And Yes, IRC is back up. See, this is a sign that CEO is restoring service! 🙂
 
Well, if they are gonna die, why the H3ll do they still keep updating us, and saying this much unnecessary stuff? Just tell us that they were dead few weeks ago would do. But well, who knows.

running. The cost is a mere $132.40, and as usually I accept PayPal and cash.

Oh, and the first of our modded Dreamcast servers is up and running. As soon as I check
out the phone line ethernetting and am sure it's working, I will get my IS department
to end their Grand Theft Auto 2 games and have them start moving people onto this
server.

Yeah, and the funny thing is that post was started July 3. Well, funny if you're not depending on CW.

He has said that the "user questionnaire" that everyone must fill out in order to get their accounts "rebuilt" will be up by tomorrow (don't hold your breath) but he also said that rebuilding those accounts could take past the end of July. Most likely some people will have over a month of downtime before there accounts are activated.

They released some info yesterday about doing the transition this weekend using the new IP's. Perhaps the DNS hasn't resolved just yet?

 
The "customer service reps" are now getting mad at the customer conduct in IRC.

On rep was litterally saying that God was upset with the conduct in the chat room.

Is "GOD" a technical anacronym for some techie thing I'm not aware of?

OK all of Cyberwing's servers, irc, status pages have been down for a couple hours -- this after a series of highly religious/spiritual speaches from Shawn's wife - PAM. Apparantly, CEO's wife had enough. I can't blame her.

Any dibbs on whether they're EVER resume service?

You'd think CEO would post a status SOMEWHERE on the Internet --- there ARE other servers that are still working, you know 😉

BTW, where's WOLFIE during all this? It's strangly quiet out there....
