Just for the record, that lady of which you speak isn't Shawn's wife - I understand that her husband works for Worldcom (so they may both be looking for jobs soon)...
 
Per paypal policy - "As stated in the PayPal User Agreement, PayPal will only investigate complaints filed within 30 days of the original transaction date."

my transaction is in April, does that mean I am out of luck?
 
Post 30 days, and I think with PayPal you're outta luck, Bit. But send them a letter and see what they suggest you do. There may another kind purchase protection you still qualify for. Also, if your PayPal account is linked to your Bank account, your bank may also offer help.

But all in all, chargebacks are most likely not going to produce anything for any of us. Our refunds are most likely going to be funded by insurance, not Cyberwings.

Nothing stirring at any CW server...

It sure looks like they're dead. Anyone know of any public chat rooms ex-cyberwingers may be hanging out at?

Hey, I feel for you CW customers... I saw it coming, but no one likes getting scammed.

I mentioned this much earlier on, but someone I'm assuming was a cyberwings plant pooh-pooh'd it. Try bsdwebhosting.net they're a great webhosting company and it's a pay as you go service. I run a small webpage and email, and I've paid about 20 cents in the last two months.

Anyway, something to think about. Of course, they don't give out free lifetime reseller memberships, so, that's a downside. Of course, they're still in existence, so, that's a plus.

Try them out if you're looking for a place, even if temporary, the most you'd lose is $5 if you don't like them.
 
i wanna get in on the dilligent watching of cwings too...

how do i check out a site's nameserver's (to see if they've been updated)?

how do i ping a site?

is this all i would need to see if stuff has propagated (or is going to be)?

Damn, is this is another "company" of our beloved CE-Oi-Vai SHAWN ???? "...20 cents in the last two months" ?????, sound to me that this hosting company will really last for ever, in particular after paying Pay&al their collection fees, paying rent, maintenance, band.... and all of it of of 20 cents a month... I am telling you, how stupid we all where that we went with Cyberwings, while all this time we could save money with (what their name is ??) bsdwebhosting.net ??? I only wish that the would have lifetime reseller accounts... hahahahahahaha 🙂

Wasn't bsdwebhosting.net bought out by another company and being kept alive as a "courtesy" of some kind to existing customers? In otherwords, no new accounts are being accepted? bsdwebhosting's been mentioned in the hot deals section before and a few members made reference to this buyout.

The channel has dissolved into bedlam - Geek is getting hammered. I'm not even sure how many of the other staff and volunteers are even left (if any), but I'm told the deopped and devoiced all of them...What a train wreck this is turning out to be...

What does it matter? The "support staff" in #cyberwings can't really do any supporting without web servers, access to CSR system, any information from CEO, blah blah blah and hickory dickory doc....

It's ridiculous they even maintain the support room.
