Not eat pork but pepperoni is okay?

A coworker of mine once told me she doesn't eat pork due to religious reason/personal reasons or something..however found her eating a pepperoni pizza the other day at lunch.

I couldn't get any sort of explanation from her, but was wondering if anyone could explain it?

She's picking and choosing what she believes in to fit her convieniences. This is the reason many religions are falling apart today.
