Not eat pork but pepperoni is okay?

A coworker of mine once told me she doesn't eat pork due to religious reason/personal reasons or something..however found her eating a pepperoni pizza the other day at lunch.

I couldn't get any sort of explanation from her, but was wondering if anyone could explain it? 😕

She's picking and choosing what she believes in to fit her convieniences. This is the reason many religions are falling apart today.
