Not Computers, but what kinda DVD Player should I buy?

I'm getting rid of my Xbox. What kind of DVD Player should I get. Nothing fancy, just something that will work! I've heard a lot about these Hackable Apex or whatever? I'm not sure. LMK what ya'll think

One best of the cheapies is the Daewoo DVD5700. ($90 at Sam?s). Plays DVD?s, SVCD, VCD, XVCD, XSVCD & MP3?s. Easy to change the region coding and there is a hacked firmware update that disables Macrovision. Liked it enough that I bought 2nd one for the spare TV.

I like Samsung DVD players. The ones with the Nuon chips are especially cool.
