The implicit myth here is just because one is a celebrity, regardless if they excel at singing, dancing, playing football, or anything else, that these celebrities should have opinions any more valid than the opinions of you or I.

If we are open minded, we can respect someone for their talents, but still think their political opinions are things absolutely independent of their talents.

Bad news for republirats, most talented celebrities tend to be democrats. So what if a minority leans GOP.

Think for yourself and watch the results.

Sure, but it doesn't matter any more than any other person. They're famous, not politically qualified.

There are some things about the right that I very much agree with, but for the most part I lean left. However, I strive to never, ever say moronic things like:
Britney: "Honestly, I think we should just trust our president in every decision that he makes and we should just support that, you know, and be faithful in what happens."
, whatever party the POTUS subscribes to.

I could be wrong but I didn't see Gary Sinise on the list.

Also, there was at least one or two individuals whose placement on the list was rather dubious....one female towards the end dated a few conservative/republicans...as a counterexample, supposedly Ann Coulter dated (among others) the son of Penthouse founder Bob Guccione. Did that make her "liberal" while she was dating him? of course not!

No, but it might make her gay.

Interesting that they included people who identified as Independent and Libertarian with the Republicans. I'd say there's a difference.

I didn't recognize most of those actors/authors/whatevers though. And of the ones I did, only a few I would actually respect the opinion of. Come on, Britney Spears? And Arnie barely counts as a conservative even if he is Republican. He runs California like it's a pseudo-fascist-socialist European nation. Just like Austria. (yeah, economically he's very conservative, but he's still liberal on many issues and his forceful style of governorship fits in well with fascism, which typically goes with socialism)

BTW, Tom Clancy looks freaky. I'm never going to be able to read one of his books the same way again. Though honestly, I've grown out of his books anyway, they seem to appeal more to the teenage tough guy mindset and were never particularly deep.

Adam Sandler was a surprise to me, though he is Jewish which tends to be a more conservative group of people I guess. Unless they're from New York.

i enjoyed the interview with Jon Voight, Bill O'Reilly talked to him about
politics & his daughter Angelina Jolie, who has a different outlook than Jon.

Jon Voight was so good in the movie Runaway Train. that scene where
he takes a knife through the hand, near the beginning. AWESOME acting.

Liberals and Democrats have always done well in Hollywood because they both have something in common.

Both work in a world of make believe.

It takes courage and a strong correct spirit to be a Conservative in Hollywood. Bravo to all Hollywood Conservatives.

So that's worse than all the idiots that support Obama even though he hasn't proven himself to be able to do anything?

Not a huge surprise if your old enough. Understand that in the 60's and 70's the democratic party were the war mongers.

Not that I give a flying monkey hump, but David Spade wasn't mentioned. He doesn't get much recognition, but recently donated $100k in rifles to an Arizona police department.

^^

Bruno wins for saying "flying monkey hump" in a sentence!

But seriously I agree with the guy who said we shouldn't care what celebrities think. Anyone who voted for someone because Oprah or Brittney Spears liked him is just plain retarded.
