not able to ping computer

Why would I be able to ping from a computer to anywhere on the network but not be able to ping that computer from anything on the network? There are no routers or firewalls between any of the machines having issues.

Might be software Firewall on the computer that blocks the in-Ping to the computer.

that's what we were thinking as well, but the only firewall installed is windows and it's shut off.

Never the less check it to allow pings.

it was actually the stupid cisco VPN client firewall.. didn't even think about it.
