not able to install office xp in win98se,installer comes and goes off after a few sec,whats the problem!!

ssssssss,i had it previosly on the system and it got corrupted~~

this is a total longshot but maybe u need to update the Microsoft Installer package to 2.0 or whatever its at... also clear out all temp files and reboot and try again! good luck

the installer window comes up when i go online and asks for office xp cd,but when i insert and select the file it says invalid file,i even tried uninstalling windows se and deleted office values from registry,no go pls help its urgent!!!
