Not able to connect to EFNET

I always get the error message as " Host Name not found"......Why does this happen?....I have no problem in connecting to DALnet and UNDERnet...Can anyone suggest any solution?

even with irc.core.com?

it might be that efnet is dying or that you weren't invited as many of the channels are invite or keyword only.

do a news search. I remember last september it went down for bit. I think part of the problem is that everybody tries to flood the servers all the time.
