I ordered a 256MB DIMM from these bozos on a Saturday, cancelled the order first thing Monday morning via email and by phone with a woman who knew maybe 5 words in English. She told me it was cancelled, and come the following Wednesday, I got an email saying that my order had shipped. Doh! I called and emailed them 3 more times, and the order didn't get cancelled properly until the guy showed up at my door, read the delivery instructions, which listed the shipment as cancelled, and sent the memory back. If that had been the entire story, it would be one thing, but since the 9th, I have emailed and called z-buy.com more than a dozen times about refunding the amount charged to my credit card for the order I cancelled. I have yet to receive an email or talk to anyone. I have left them my home, work and cell numbers, and still nothing. Yesterday, I called my credit card company and put in a request to dispute the charges. They are sending me forms to fill out and everything and the charge has been taken off of my account, but I have yet to hear anything from z-buy.com.

Avoid this company like the plague. This may not be an appropriate forum for this, but I have seen a couple of threads up here about cheap RAM on their site, so I thought I would let people know.

Shut up lizardbrain. If there are "hot deals' listed for that company here, then that is an appropriate warning.

Ditto here ... I've ordered tons of stuff from them and it always arrived in a timely manner, with free 2-day or 3-day FedEx shipping. Great prices, too!! On the other hand, I've never tried to return anything, or cancel an order en route. Dunno how badly they may be lacking in that department, but I guess you wanna be sure when you order something.

I think newegg.com has the right idea. I ordered a Radeon LE on their site, and then decided to cancel it the next day. They have an interactive page on their site where you can automatically cancel orders that haven't been processed through yet. I was able to do that, the system sent me a confirmation that the order was cancelled, and they credited back my credit card 2 days later. Needless to say, I was very impressed with newegg's site and I wouldn't hesitate to shop there again.

All of you should post your experiences at Reseller Ratings (www.resellerratings.com). I use their ratings all the time to decide whether or not to buy from a company I'm not familiar with, and the more input and comments about a company there are, the more likely I am to make a decision based on those comments.

I ordered a 7200 rpm WD hard drive from them a couple months back and it came promptly with a ata66 ide cable thrown in free. It was also the best price on price watch.

Why are you ragging a company just because you had a brain-fart and decided to cancel an order that was already in their system. Maybe you shouldn't have placed the order in the first place.
