in Popular Science, they talked about this new invention that this dude made:

COLORED BUBBLES!

sure, they stain, but the dye breaks down once you rub it. so you just rub your hands and it's gone!

man i wish i had these as a kid.

i remeber lawn darts....and those shoes with the springs that supposedly made you jump higher...all you got were a lot of painful twisted ankles, bb guns, airplanes and helicopters with rotors that could really ruin your day...

I played with that all the damn time
Funny you mention that, my friend said he played with some in the past, but I gave him a WTF look. I thought it was too toxic to handle.

Are you guys kidding, or did it used to be available?

I was talking to a friend the other night about old toys you can't find today. I told him that you can't find a "real" slinky, the metal kind that would actually go from stair to stair, not these plastic POS they sell today. Then I read in another thread about the lego canons that actually shot pieces. FUN! 😀

Both were likely taken off the market for "safety" reasons.

***Please no "someone think of the children" arguments, while I tend to agree stay on topic, pretty-please with sugar and a cherry on top.***

Soooo, what toys of your days are children no longer able to abuse themselves with due removal from the market?

They still make metal slinkies
Eeeeexcelent! *rubs hands together*

I may have to order a case of these, you know how slinkys get injured during slinky fights.
