Nostalgic Toys

I was talking to a friend the other night about old toys you can't find today. I told him that you can't find a "real" slinky, the metal kind that would actually go from stair to stair, not these plastic POS they sell today. Then I read in another thread about the lego canons that actually shot pieces. FUN! 😀

Both were likely taken off the market for "safety" reasons.

***Please no "someone think of the children" arguments, while I tend to agree stay on topic, pretty-please with sugar and a cherry on top.***

Soooo, what toys of your days are children no longer able to abuse themselves with due removal from the market?

Hungry Hippos. do they have that game anymore?

they probably think those hippos would chew a toddler's arm off nowadays.

Remember when Tonka Toys were all metal?

All of my Tonka Trucks were all metal.

I bought one for my son a couple years ago and they're now plastic.

I had an M-16 Rifle that looked and was the size of the real thing...didn't have the silly cap on the barrel. An Uzi water-gun that looked pretty real....actually lots of guns that looked quite authentic. No cop ever shot at me.
