Nosebleeds at an NBA game

Nosebleeds suck, but for your kids they will probably always have this as a fond memory regardless of where you sit, I'd do it simply for that alone.

Since the section you're looking at is close to center court, it's actually not that bad. You can see most of what's going on. I've sat in the absolute last row of Staples, at the very top, but at center court and had a great view.

it can still be enjoyable and your kids will still enjoy it, but i think the experience does suffer more with BB than other sports

Not in my opinion. When i watched sports I used to go to Giants games and you couldn't see anything way up and ended mainly watching jumbotron.

Can be a little hard to see, but still fun. Get there early and head down near the court for the early shooting the players do so your kids can get an up close look at some of the players

Agreed. And bring binoculars.

It is a fun experience for sure.

your kids im sure wont care. personally for me, if you can afford it, the seats in the section behind the basket tend to be just a little bit more . granted the sight lines are awful, but the cheapest close bottom level is always behind a basket.

i've bought tons of tickets on ebay by the way, mostly from sellers with lots of feedback. some of them wont email the pdfs anymore and require shipping due to the idiotic way ebay does guarantees and such.

but never have had an issue buying tickets there, most of those are just local ticket shops anyway.

i've had those seats for a playoff game at staples back in 06 for the clippers. 2nd row from the back and they were not bad for staples

staples though is kind of a bad example. most arenas for the nosebleeds are better than staples. i've sat at oracle arena nosebleeds there arent as bad because staples has bad sight lines from the top level due to 3 levels of luxury seats.

I recently attended an NBA game (well two), one was nosebleeds, and one was just below. Nosebleeds were pretty terrible IMO, but kids will love it regardless of where you sit.

It fine with kids. They'll just like being at a real professional game anyway. Plus you'll be up and down 1/2 the time getting soda, cotton candy, and going to the bathroom

I saw the Wizards play Somebody (I was brown out drunk and care absolutely nothing about basketball, except for sexy asian dudes) for 35 dollars. We were in the 11th row.

I was with a buddy visiting his brother in Georgetown and we went on a whim. Just walked on. No body was there.

I have never been to a game and my kids want to go to the Magic v Grizzlies game next week, and nosebleeds are the only reasonable priced tickets. Have any of you sat in these and was it worth going?

Only been to NHL games and ACC games in the nosebleeds but it is well worth it for both! I'd guess the NBA is the same!

I was in the middle somewhere a while back at the Rose Garden watching the Blazers and I couldn't see what was even going on. The experience is fun, but if you want actually see the game, I'd convince the kids to go to a baseball game instead.

I have been to the nosebleed section of NBA (Mavs) and MLB (Rangers) and I did not like it.

If you want to gamble, wait until almost game time and walk up. You may get lucky to have some leftover tickets. It does help if you team plays with a sucky team on that day.

Ditto with the Mavs. The AA center is what, less than ten or so years old, but it's garbage up there. The problem really isn't the view, which is meh but okay, but the damned seats are maybe fit for quadruple amputees. It was so tight that I had to bend my feet at odd angles to not kick the back of the ladies head in front of me. And I fit perfectly in my little Ford Focus lol.

I went to the NBA development league (Dallas Legends?) game in Frisco, it was 8,000,000x more enjoyable. Ditto with the minor league baseball vs. big stadium baseball. In the mega-stadiums you just feel like a disconnected part of a behemoth overpriced machine, at the small parks you feel a part of the whole thing.

I don't think it's worth it, but at the same time, I don't think you'd want to spoil your kids with lower bowl seats for the first time. Go for it if you've never done it, I bet they'll still enjoy it.

I went to an NBA game and I was literally on the last row of the upper balcony. The view was still good enough to enjoy it.

I went before a while ago and I still had a good time. You'll be looking at the jumbotron for replays and stuff though. Binoculars would help, one of the guys I went with had a pair but he dominated them to look at the cheerleaders for most of the game.

Went to a couple Kings games at the Staples Center and sat in the nose bleeds. Wasn't the best view but I still enjoyed the game and had a good time.
