Nose hair.... wtf?!

Why does it grow so damn fast? Whether you pluck it, trim it, cut it, talk dirty to it... it still grows back 5x faster than any other hair on the body.

The worst part about nose hair is that its never a bush that pops out. Its one random f-ing hair sticking out like Wesley Snipes at a Nascar party, even after you think you've beaten them back in to your sinuses with the hedge trimmers.

Just thought i'd rant. My roommate just sat here talking to me for 10 min with a giant nose pube that looked like a freaking licorice rope. As soon as he left i led a preemptive attack on a patch of fresh growth in my own schnozz.

It's too bad nose hair doesn't provide HEPA-grade filtration. Then I wouldn't mind it so much.

The original HEPA filter was designed in the 1940s and was used in the Manhattan Project to prevent the spread of airborne radioactive contaminants.

Love it or hate it, the military does provide technology spinoffs from places you least expect them. Nuclear weapons research = higher grade air filtration for the consumer. 🙂
(Mandatory plug: NASA also contributes loads of technological spinoffs, without the ultimate goal of killing people.)

This is a funny post I am 34 a few weeks ago my wife said there was a long white hair coming out of my nose and then a few days later a coworker told me a long white hair was on my ear. How do those white hairs grow so damn fast, seems like they grow a 100x fast than a regular hair?

Probably for the same reason you don't grow armpit hair, pubic hair, or, for that matter, whiskers until your body starts to mature.

Could be worse, besides nose and ears, you could also develop teh hairy back in your late 20's. 😱

The sickest nose hair I ever saw was an international grad student who had extraordinary length as well as multiple hairs protruding, and these weren't just the occasional hair poking out the front of the nostril, these babies had their origins deep within the dark, dank inner recesses of the nasal cavity. Great attention grabbers, kind of like the talking stain. Nearly every time I saw him it was like that, it was almost like he groomed it that way :bleh;
