Syrian journalist & filmmaker who exposed ISIS Aleppo atrocities assassinated in Turkey
It's not safe to oppose ISIS in Turkey.
It's not safe to oppose ISIS in Turkey.
It's pretty easy to figure out who's buying ISIS oil; everyone around them? And why? Because it's super cheap. Turkey is buying it not only because it's super cheap, but because ISIS is fighting the Kurds, and that's a political win. Militarily, Turkey does not feel threatened by Daesh. Syrians, both rebels and Assad, buy it because they can't get it anywhere else. I wouldn't be surprised if Iraq is buying it too despite sitting on top of their own vast quantity of oil reserves. Why? Cause it's cheap!
When this quagmire is all over sometime in the [hopefully very near] future, we're going to see a lot of intermingling and trade that went on between these warring parties. Assad and Putin can accuse Turkey of buying ISIS oil, but Assad is buying it too. It's all stupid.
