I just made an image of my hard drive onto 6 CD-R's (yes i know). While I'm getting ready to overclock I wanted to have these until I actually make a DVD-R copy of it for future use.

Anyways, I am unable to boot to cd using my Norton Ghost CD as it just skips boot cd because boot-up does not recognize anything on there to help me load the image. Basically, how can I make a boot cd to allow me to use this image on the 6 cd's?

AFAIK Norton Ghost V9 install cd IS the boot cd.

If your system does not recognize the cd and "unable to boot to cd using my Norton Ghost CD as it just skips boot cd because boot-up does not recognize anything on there to help me load the image" then maybe your Ghost V9 install cd is FUBARd and you need to replace it (call there tech support and maybe they will send you a new one).

Can you boot from that cd in another PC?

My Ghost CD is not bootable either, Drive Image CD's always were but not Ghost for some reason. I've created my own boot disc using a modified version of Bart's CD.

As far as putting another hard drive in. Lets say i corrupt windows in overclocking, how would I load that other image, if i can't get the norton ghost cd to boot? Am I able just to go find my image I saved on the other hard drive and just run it basically?

I'm thinking I'll just hook-up my hard drive and go from there. I see the manual talking about a Symantec Recovery Disk which also would work to load the image. Although I do not have that.

It would be nice if I could create one or if there was an iso of one.

Another thing, I saw the guide about making a boot cd for ghost except, it only talks about for a cd-rom image and not for a hard drive image, anyone have a link for that task?

The Norton Ghost v9 install CD is the boot CD. Put the install CD in your CD-ROM and boot system. This will like you transfer your hard drive image back to your hard drive. If your system can not boot from the Ghost install CD, then you have a system that can not boot from a CD-ROM because it is to old, your system is not setup in the BIOS to boot from the CD-ROM, or your Ghost install CD is bad. Your going to have to find out which one is the problem. If it is a bad CD, then contact Norton and they will replace it. You should have checked your system to make sure you could restore the image before you started overclocking.
