Norton Ghost Restoring problem

I used Norton Ghost to create a bootable DVD image of my C drive-Win xp in NTFS and Norton Ghost 2003. And I also checked the integrity of the image. Now when I try to restore it stops at 4% and says that it is writing a ghosterr.txt file to drive A. Neither do I get the error file nor does th restore continue. What could the problem be?

I really do not want to go thru reloading all my network settings and apps.

No, I tried putting in a floppy and it does not seem like a bad media. When I run an image integrity check all seems OK.
