Norton Ghost 2002 doesn't have my network card as an option... What do I do?

My laptop (Compaq 1201z, similar to the 1215US) has a combo modem/nic (10/100). But I don't think (or can't find) the corret nic in Ghost 2002 so that I can save the image to my desktop.

What do I do now? Does anybody know which nic to use? Or how do I create the template for my nic?

The device manager claims the nic to be the "Compaq 10_100 MiniPCI Ethernet NIC"

Check the Compaq site for either "'Packet Drivers" or "NDIS" drivers. There is a facility in Ghost to read them in and use them to set up a boot disk. Chances are you already have suitable NDIS drivers on the driver disk that came with the system. Just put in the drivers disk and search the different OS directories until Norton finds a driver that it can read in.

Whatever.

FWIW

Compaq is lousy with their drivers disks. They store the system restore stuff on a partition of the hard drive, and give you a bootable cd, that looks for the OS and drivers on the hard drive.

Do you know what files I would look for, or what file extensions?
