Norton Ghost 15 w/ Samsung 830 SSD - Does it come with license?

I was wondering if the norton ghost 15 that samsung includes is a full version or just a trial to clone the drive one time?

Reason being is with an SSD backups are quite a bit more important so I would want full functioanlty so I can make frequent backups.

I did not get a copy of Ghost with the Samsung 830 I got from newegg.com. I emailed Samsung about it and the reply was that it only came with the SSD/Migration Kit package.
 
I called Samsung customer support about the the provided norton ghost license not working. There response was that the OEM agreement between Samsung and Symantec has expired. There response was to use there migration software or return the drive. What crummy customer support, since it is still advertised on there web site with the full version of norton ghost.

This appears to me as being misleading and dishonest -I will never buy another Samsung product

I find this strange. Surely the agreement would cover a set period and all copies of Ghost manufactured and despatched during this period would be valid?
 
I got the Dhost 15 disk and license, but did not use it since I already have Acronis TI 2013 installed on a bootabloe thumb drive. It came with the upgrade kit - did not get one with a bare drive order. TI 2013 worked perfectly with both of my 830s.

It was a strange anomaly - Newegg had the upgrade kit version for sale cheaper than the bare drive. That was changed a week later. 🙂

What he said. The barebones (or the cheapest) version of 830 does not come with Ghost 15 license. Only the laptop/desktop versions do. That said, it's very easy to google for Ghost 15 license key if you need it.
