I am about to change the mobo and processor of my system and will use a new Hard drive also. My present Norton Systemworks has had about 6 or 7 anti virus updates since being loaded . When I re load the Systemworks on my "new " system I can see me having to go to live update and having to download all those definitions etc. I only have a 56K modem and it will take ages. I have a CD re Writer. Is there any way I can save the present definitions at present on my HD to a CD to re load when i make the change. If so, where are they located please.
TIA

From what I can see, any time you reformat, or change systems and install Norton AV, it seems to give you one free year of updates from the time of install. Therefore if you change systems you should have the updates renewed. Wether it's legal to do it that way is a different matter.

When you reinstall you won't have to download 6-7 updates, you should need at most 2 (other than product updates). We use a system where we can skip you upto the current month and then to the current day, you don't need to reapply each previous update to be brought upto date.

Best,
Bill
