ouch, i have 48 degrees celsius idle, non overclocked, using the default HSF and default thermal pad that was on it.

if i wanted to add arctic silver on instead for better temperatures, how would i remove the default thermal pad on it?
 
I just pulled mine off, but I hadn't used it on the CPU yet. The Arctic Silver webpage Link has pretty good instructions, you just need to use a cleaner like Goo Off (what I used) or Alcohol. Those temps do seem high, I get about 40 at idle, and 49 at full load, overclocked to 2.4 GHz. Not really sure what these are supposed to run at though.
