I can hear all the rednecks celebrating with gunshots ringing out into the air and countless beer cans being smashed on foreheads!!!

Bullshit! Haven't you seen their commercials? Only middle-class, white, cute soccer moms go to Walmart for all their shopping needs!

uh...the clientele at my walmart is no difference from the clientele at any other store where i live.

(poway...suburb of san diego, CA)

It's definitely different around here. I mean, you get a wider range at Walmart. You still see a lot of presumably upper-middle class people (including plenty of hot soccer moms if you go during the day). But Walmart also has a lot more... lower class people than you see at Target or the mall, or hell even Kohl's

I can't find the article that mentioned this, but I read a few years back that the average Target shopper makes $10k more per year than the average Walmart shopper. If you've paid attention over the past few years, Walmart has been trying to make their clothing section be a bit more upscale - they've been putting in hardwood floors and nicer displays. Clothing is something that Target has always done better than Walmart, and that helps attract customers who have more money.

(Please don't read anything into this beyond it being a comment on the clientele differing between stores)

UGH! Why would you be HAPPY about this? Now your local grocery stores won't exist, and within a few years - Walmart simply raises the prices to where the local grocery stores were at before the walmart showed up! With no other place to go your gonna be stuck eating that shitty terrible godawful rotten garbage food they sell!

Do you have any idea what happens to meat that gets sent back at the cash register? They put it in a cart, and a few hours later after its sat to generate friggin ebola virus, they just put it back on the shelf.

Do you really want folks making $7 an hour handling your raw chicken?

Remember when Walmart had an "organic" section? Well they don't anymore because it was just the same food - labeled organic - that wasn't really organic, just regular stuff treated with pesticides and hormones and whatever. They just charged more for it and called it organic.

Getting a walmart is NOT a good thing.

Sure why not -- Border's is probably going to go bust soon anyway. There'll be room for the Walmart right next to the Tiffany & Co and Zales .

They dont handle anything. It all comes in pre-packaged. And meat that has been sitting out does not go back on the shelf. If youre going to go negative on walMart at least get your facts straight.

I love Walmart, because it keeps the good stores free and clear of the people I dont want to be around.

Do you have any proof at all to back up any of what you said?

Don't get too excited. Even though the city tried to stop it, WallyWorld shoved a Super Walmart down our throats here. We went twice to check it out...BIG disappointment.
Grocery prices are barely cheaper than the run-of-the-mill grocery stores, and far more expensive than the "warehouse stores" like Winco and Food Maxx, with a much smaller selection and terrible produce section. Even the Walmart part of the store is disappointing. Less selection than the "regular Walmart here in town.

Unfortunately, their prices are only a couple cents cheaper at best for most groceries. Some things you can find cheaper there yes, others are more expensive. We prefer Super Target.

To me its the long lines, horrible produce, etc...

I am pretty cheap and will do what I can to save money but shopping at walmart is not worth it.
