It's definitely different around here. I mean, you get a wider range at Walmart. You still see a lot of presumably upper-middle class people (including plenty of hot soccer moms if you go during the day). But Walmart also has a lot more... lower class people than you see at Target or the mall, or hell even Kohl's
I can't find the article that mentioned this, but I read a few years back that the average Target shopper makes $10k more per year than the average Walmart shopper. If you've paid attention over the past few years, Walmart has been trying to make their clothing section be a bit more upscale - they've been putting in hardwood floors and nicer displays. Clothing is something that Target has always done better than Walmart, and that helps attract customers who have more money.
(Please don't read anything into this beyond it being a comment on the clientele differing between stores)
