They are upgrading Sterling walmart into a superwalmart.

Yeah. Cheaper grocery bills!

also, they are adding a gas station for the Sam's Club next door

You're happy that they're adding a bigger Wal-Mart? That sort of attitude isn't allowed on the internet...

Interesting ... I never shop at that Wal-Mart because it's pretty run down.

EDIT: Where did you hear/read this, OP?

Sometimes it takes a while to attract a Supercenter.

The Cincinnati area had like 6 Wal*Marts for quite a while but never had a Supercenter until around 2006.

is that the one that's in the same plaza with the Target and the Toys R Us?

That place is a dump. Target FTW

I thought the one in Fair Lakes was a SuperWalmart. Or is that just a regular Walmart?

That description sounds exactly like the Fair Lakes one...

Whats the difference between a super Wal-mart and a regular? The ones here have food but aren't called super as far as I know.

I've lived in Sterling for several years and don't think I've ever been there. (The Target is more convenient to where I live).

As for groceries, there's a Wegman's in Sterling. Why would you get groceries anywhere else? (Ok, sometimes I go to the Giant because it's closer, but still.)

Bullshit! Haven't you seen their commercials? Only middle-class, white, cute soccer moms go to Walmart for all their shopping needs!

There isn't enough undeveloped land in Springfield to put one so I think you're safe. Hard to believe that when we first moved there we lived on a dirt road. :disgust:

Sure why not -- Border's is probably going to go bust soon anyway. There'll be room for the Walmart right next to the Tiffany & Co and Zales .
